A Multidisciplinary Art Experience

I am a multimedia artist with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, concentrating in printmaking and ceramics. My practice centers on abstract, nature-based ceramic wall sculptures, which in turn inspire my printmaking work. The dialogue between these two mediums allows me to explore how form, texture, and process can reflect the forces of the natural world.

My inspiration comes from the outdoors and the beautifully intricate formations found in nature. From the organic movement of my sculptures to the use of natural firing methods and materials, I strive to echo the vitality of the earth itself. The colors and surfaces of my ceramics are shaped by organic, combustible materials and elemental forces, mirroring the unpredictability of nature’s own processes.

In both ceramics and printmaking, I use some of the oldest methods ranging from lithography on large slabs of limestone to in-ground firings that embrace chance and transformation. These practices leave visible traces of process, grounding each work in both tradition and experimentation. I want viewers to be left in awe, questioning the material and its making, and to recognize the parallel between my work and the living, evolving world around us. No two sculptures will ever be the same, because like nature, they are shaped by forces beyond control.
